How does Sun Block Fabric / Sun Protective Fabric work?
Sun Block Fabric / Sun Protective fabric is using UV-cut fiber that is capable to isolate or reflect UV rays, reducing thermal transmission, and protecting our skin from UV radiation.
Sun Block Fabric / Sun Protective fabric also involves with chosen fabric structure. Sportingtex’s UV-Cut fabric chooses high-tech fiber with tight density fabric structure, UV Ray cannot go through the fabric into our skin.
Prevent direct sunlight and damage to the skin
Technically, fabric with UPF 1 means the protection from sunlight is about 10 minutes. If people are wearing a T-shirt with UPF 20 that means we can stay in the sun for 200 minutes (approximately 3 hours long). The higher the number rating, the more UV protection we get protection. It is very protective that people who have to stay outdoor all day long would need to wear UV-Cut functional clothes with UPF 40 at least.
The Sun Block Fabric / UV-Cut fabric has 3 ratings, based on the different UPF (as the table abvoe), due to different fabric structures and covering rates will affect the heat insulating ability and UV protection.
